Harley‑Davidson X440 is one of the most talked-about bikes of the last few years in India and beyond. It’s a new kind of Harley-Davidson — one that is smaller, easier to ride, and more affordable than anything the brand has ever sold before. The X440 was developed in partnership with Hero MotoCorp and is built to bring Harley’s style and performance into a segment where more riders can actually enjoy it.
A Bold First Look
Right from its first reveal, the X440 made a strong impression with a bold and stylish design that combines classic Harley cues with a modern look. It feels familiar but fresh — a bit retro and a bit sporty at the same time. The bodywork is all metal with clean lines and strong proportions. It has a round LED headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, and a flat handlebar that gives an upright riding stance. The bike doesn’t have the long stretched cruiser look of big Harleys, but instead feels more urban and agile, ideal for everyday riding.
Powerful Engine
Under the X440’s fuel tank is a 440 cc single-cylinder, air- and oil-cooled engine that makes around 27 PS of power and 38 Nm of torque, delivered through a 6-speed gearbox. This engine setup gives the bike a smooth and punchy character, especially in city rides and highway cruising.
Features That Matter
Even though the X440 sits at a more accessible price point, it still offers some features that riders appreciate. The top-spec variants come with a colour TFT display that supports Bluetooth connectivity, including navigation, music control, and call alerts. There’s also all-LED lighting, dual-channel ABS, and inverted front forks for better road handling.
Price & Variants
One of the biggest talking points has been the price. When it launched in India, the X440 started at around ₹2.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base model, with higher trims going up to about ₹2.69 lakh. There are different variants — like Denim, Vivid, and S — each adding things like alloy wheels or the TFT screen.
